What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to staying curious and committed to continuous learning. I’ve found that asking the right questions, especially when working with data, opens up new ways of understanding what’s really happening and how to respond effectively. Whether I’m learning a new tool, exploring a dataset, or improving a reporting system, I aim to stay open, adaptable, and focused on growth. That mindset has helped me stay grounded in the purpose behind the work.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to define what success means specifically for me-not by someone else’s standards, titles, or timelines, but by my own values, vision, and the unique opportunities in front of me. When success is shaped by what matters most to you, it becomes more meaningful and sustainable. I’ve found that when I stay grounded in my definition of success, it’s easier to navigate change, stay focused, and feel fulfilled, even in seasons of uncertainty or growth.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The data analytics industry is full of opportunity, and there’s space for you; your voice, your perspective, and your way of thinking. My advice to young women entering this field is to stay curious, be confident in your ability to figure things out, and don’t wait until you feel 100% ready to start. Often, clarity comes through action. Also, don’t underestimate the value of asking questions, it’s one of the most powerful tools you have, especially in a data-driven role. Seek out mentors, build community with others in your space, and remember that your presence helps shape the culture of the industry.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges, and opportunities, in data right now is learning how to integrate AI meaningfully into the work. There’s a lot of potential, but also a real need to be thoughtful about how it’s applied, especially in fields like education or mission-driven work. For me, it’s about staying open to learning, testing new tools, and understanding where AI can actually enhance human decision making without losing sight of context, equity, or the people behind the numbers. It’s an ongoing learning curve, but also an exciting space to grow in.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
He values that matter most to me, both in work and in life: are balance, community, and family. I believe in making space for rest and reflection so I can show up fully in my work. I also value relationships, having a strong sense of community and friendship keeps me grounded, supported, and connected. And family has always been a central part of my life. Those values shape how I make decisions, how I work with others, and how I define success.
